• The first Sensitization Meeting for College Principals was held on 29th May, 2006 at durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan under the chairmanship of the then Governor, Shri. A.R. Kohli.

• Principals appointed lecturer who are interested in HIV/AIDS as Nodal Officer for RRC in their colleges.

• P.E /s for each class were identified.

• Training for Nodal Officers was conducted on 4th October, 2006 and for P.E on the 5th Oct, 2006.

• A Red Ribbon Yatra was also conducted in September 2006 to raise awareness by visiting 160 villages across the state. In addition to the Awareness programs IEC materials were also distributed to villagers. This was done as a joint program with NSS from each colleges through the State NSS Liaison Officer.

• IEC Materials displayed in college canteens and Condoms put up in some college toilets.

• Incorporation of HIV and its related issues on college weeks activities and also in NSS activities such as debate, essay writing and painting competition.

• A state level RRC debate competition was held on 12th August, 2007.

• Many RRC in coordination with NSS has organized Blood Donation Camps & Blood Banks in their colleges.

• Each RRC has placed a question box where students asked their queries/doubts and problems concerning HIV and health issues which are answered through college bulletins.

• Consultation Meeting with RRC and NSS Nodal Officers was conducted on 25th June, 2008.

• RRC Information Center set up in Pachhunga University College.

• Training of nodal officers and peer educators was held on 20 – 24th October 2008. A total of 27 Nodal teachers and 165 Peer Educators were trained.

• Most of the college observed World AIDS day in their own campuses.
